Video

Here’s a selection of videos I had an opportunity to work on.

Vans Advertisement

The narrative follows a girl that’s a bit lonely and closed in her own little world. She gets inspired by looking at Red Hot Chilli Peppers music video of the skaters and decides to make her own skateboard out of materials she has. At the end of the advertisement she leaves her “little world” and enjoys life. During the video focus goes to the shoes with some close ups and the general idea that Vans brand is mainly a skateboarding shoe. Music used: Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Dark Necessities.

Music Video: You might find yours

“You Might Find Yours” by Tom Rosenthal is a mix of music and inspirational speech, where he joins those two to create a motivational experience for the listener. I decided to make music video according to my own feelings and inspire others to go outside and enjoy life to the fullest. Song is about how not everything needs a reason, sometimes it’s okay not to have a purpose and to just feel it out. Main character in the video is struggling to feel happy, she’s always dreaming about things that could be happening, she’s a bit of an introvert and is scared to fail or be judged by others, so instead she stays inside. She is not living; she is just existing. These shots are in black and white to separate dreams from reality. Dreams are portrayed in vibrant and saturated tones, with a white framing, making them feel more like still images. At the end of the video she finally decides to leave the house and black and white shot becomes colourful.

Animation Short: Dreamare

The emotion I tried to convey in this animation was not terror or to scare the viewer, I wanted to make the viewer feel uncomfortable with the little appearances of the monster in a pretty world, as the start seemed calm and colour pallete chosen wasn’t grim, it was more colourful, and full of vibrant colours, the very start was blurred and stretched out to give a hint that it is only a dream. The sounds I used accompanied the atmosphere I wanted to accomplish, blizzard and thunder soundtrack I made set the mood and made it more realistic. So the main idea was to join realism and fiction, just like our actual dreams they can be a mix of safe and scary components at the same time. A mix of dream and a nightmare, that’s why I called it “Dreamare”

Pandreamia

During Covid and lockdowns we had a task to create a self isolation video. I wanted to take that and create a more dramatic version. This is what I came up with:

Other
